The NI WSN system contains four main components: a PC running

Windows and NI software, a NI WSN gateway, NI WSN-32xx

node(s), and an Ethernet network as shown in Figure 1.

What You Need To Get Started

• PC running Windows and NI software

• NI-WSN software installation disc, which contains

NI Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX)

• NI LabVIEW

– the NI WSN-9791 Gateway requires LabVIEW 8.6.1 or

later

– the NI 9792 WSN Real-Time Gateway requires

NI LabVIEW 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1) (32-bit) or later,

and NI LabVIEW 2009 SP1 (32-bit) Real-Time Module or

later

– the NI WSN-3226 node requires LabVIEW 2010 or later

• NI WSN gateway and appropriate power supply

• NI WSN-3202/3212 nodes and four AA alkaline batteries or a

9–30 V power supply
